About me
My name is Shiran Somech, and I photograph the moments you cannot stage.
In short
Shiran Somech, born in Givat Ada and based in Hadera, has photographed maternity, newborns, children and families for ten years — more than 1,000 families in that time. She holds a degree in digital communications from Ariel University, trained in photography at the Glitz school, and trained in newborn safety and posing with Ana Brandt.
Who I am
My name is Shiran Somech. I am married to Maor and mother to Oran and Ofir — the three great loves of my life, four counting photography, which is an enormous love of its own.
My degree is in digital communications from Ariel University, and along the way I studied web development, Photoshop, marketing and advertising — all of which help me daily, both behind the camera and in the edit. I then trained properly in photography at Glitz, one of the leading schools in Israel, and have since taken further courses — among them newborn safety and posing with Ana Brandt, one of the leading names in the field worldwide, as well as working with children and wrapping.
How the studio started
After my first son was born, and the difficulty of going back to work — the situation where a mother has to choose between a career and raising her children — I went after the photography. I left the sales, marketing and advertising I had been doing, and opened the studio. Ten years and more than 1,000 families have passed since.
The studio is in Hadera but it travels. Sessions happen outdoors, at the beach, and in the place you are most yourselves — your own home.
The sets
I keep renewing the studio with backdrops, custom-built props and pieces imported from abroad, accessories and outfits to match each set I put together for you. I assemble the sets myself, which is why you will only find them here.

Shiran is remarkable, as a photographer and as a person. The backdrops are beautiful and the pictures are perfect. She followed my son's mood rather than fighting it, and let us simply enjoy ourselves.
