31I came to Shiran for a newborn session with my eldest, and since then I have been back for every birthday, for family sessions and for Purim.
01Where do the sessions take place?
At the studio on Ein HaDvash 24a, where all the sets and backdrops are, or outdoors — in nature, at the beach, or at your home. Your choice, and the two can be combined.
02What should we wear?
Pick two or three soft colours and dress the whole family within them, rather than matching everyone in the same outfit. Avoid large prints and logos, and bring one extra layer each. There is a full guide to this in the magazine.
03Can you photograph a large family?
Yes. The studio takes large families and three generations together, and a portrait of the whole group can be combined with photographs of each family separately.
04What if the children will not cooperate?
That is the normal state of affairs, and the session is built around it. We move at the children's pace rather than the other way round, and the good photographs usually arrive once they have forgotten there is a photographer in the room.
