Halake photography
Those curls come off once, and only once.
In short
Halake sessions outdoors or in the Hadera studio, around the third birthday. The photographs are taken before the haircut, while the curls are still there — and afterwards too if you want both faces of the same day. The sets, outfits and props are all in the studio.

1501When should we photograph?
Before the haircut, and preferably not on the day itself. The day of the halake is crowded and emotional, and a three-year-old who has already been through a ceremony and a room full of guests has nothing left for a camera. A week or two before is the right moment.
02Can we photograph after the haircut too?
Yes, and many families do both. The curls and the new face are two completely different children in photographs, and years later that pair is exactly what you want to look at.
03Where does it happen?
Outdoors or in the Hadera studio. Outdoors gives a child somewhere to run, which helps at this age; the studio has sets and outfits that cannot be carried outside. The two can be combined.
04Do we bring props?
No. The studio keeps backdrops, outfits and props, and the set is assembled beforehand around what you have chosen. If there is a tallit or a chair that runs in the family, bring it — it is worth more than any prop.
05Can you photograph the ceremony itself?
Yes. That is event coverage rather than a portrait session, and the studio comes to you. Booking both together works well — a session beforehand, the ceremony on the day.
